Meet our Counselors

Alexis M. Rodriguez, LMSW

Counselor | English & Spanish

Hello, my name is Alexis. I am a bilingual Licensed Master Social Worker who provides services in both English and Spanish. I have experience working with children ages 10+, teens, women, and families and have a professional background in foster and adoptive services, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based therapeutic approaches. I enjoy working with women and teens ages 10 and older who may be navigating trauma, parenting concerns, health challenges, life transitions, family changes, or simply feeling disconnected from themselves. My experience working with children and families has also strengthened my understanding of attachment, relationships, and the ways our earlier experiences can continue to shape how we feel and connect with others.

My therapeutic approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I incorporate traditional talk therapy, mindfulness, and integrative techniques to help clients better understand their experiences, recognize their strengths, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways. I have also completed training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), a trauma-informed and relationship-focused approach that emphasizes connection, trust, and emotional safety. My goal is to create a welcoming space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered as they work toward greater emotional well-being and a stronger sense of self. Outside of my professional role, I am a dedicated lifelong learner who enjoys continuing to grow, explore new ideas, and find new ways to support the people I serve.

Fallon M. Woodard, LMSW

Counselor

Hello, my name is Fallon. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and Master of Public Health professional with extensive experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, crisis intervention, and supporting individuals and families through difficult life circumstances. I primarily enjoy working with young adults, adults, and older adults who may be navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, mood disorders, major life transitions, or other mental health challenges. I have a special appreciation for working with women across different stages of adulthood and helping clients feel genuinely heard and supported.

My counseling style is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that therapy should provide a space where you can openly explore what you are experiencing without feeling judged or pressured. I believe in doing more listening than advising and helping clients make their own decisions while taking time to process those choices together. My approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidence-based interventions while remaining responsive to each client’s individual needs, experiences, and goals.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing a wide range of behavioral and emotional concerns, including serious mental illness, psychiatric crises, grief, substance-related concerns, and the challenges that can accompany aging. Francine L. Haynes, LMSW

Counselor

Francine L. Haynes, LMSW

Counselor

Hello, my name is Francine. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker providing compassionate support to youth ages 14 and older, adults, and individuals navigating significant life challenges. I work with clients experiencing trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, suicidal behaviors, relationship stress, and the complexities of reentry after incarceration.

My background also includes supporting military-affiliated women, drawing from my lived experience as a combat Army veteran and the unique insight it provides into the hardships and resilience found within military life.

Throughout my career, I have worked in nonprofit organizations, the private sector, and government settings, serving unhoused individuals, those coping with family or relationship difficulties, people transitioning from incarceration, and clients experiencing grief and loss, including hospice support. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how environment, identity, and life circumstances shape emotional wellness and healing.

My therapeutic approach is empathetic, collaborative, and tailored to each client's goals and strengths. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed practices while creating a space where clients feel safe, heard, and supported. My focus is on helping individuals build coping skills, understand their patterns, strengthen resilience, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.

Clients can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where honesty and self-exploration are encouraged. Together, we will navigate challenges, develop practical strategies, and build on the strengths you already possess as we work toward healing, growth, and greater emotional well-being.

Christina D. Mecca-McClory MSW, LCSW-S

Founder, Clinical Director, and Counselor

Hello, I’m Christina, founder and Clinical Director of Cosmic Mother Counseling. I created this practice to make compassionate, trauma-informed mental health care more accessible to women, mothers, teens, and families,  especially those navigating maternal mental health concerns, trauma, chronic illness, caregiving, and major life transitions. As Clinical Director, I oversee the quality of clinical care provided through the practice, support the development of our clinicians, and help ensure that each client is matched with a counselor whose training, experience, and therapeutic style fit their needs. I also provide clinical supervision to qualifying LMSWs working toward independent licensure. My goal is to cultivate a practice where clinicians feel supported in doing thoughtful, ethical work and where clients feel genuinely seen, respected, and cared for.

As a women’s holistic health practitioner, I have training in traditional psychotherapy, somatic approaches, mindfulness-based therapies, and integrative wellness practices. When I work directly with clients, I primarily serve women and teens ages 14 and older, including those with perinatal or parenting concerns, living with chronic physical health conditions, or seeking to reconnect with themselves after trauma, illness, or prolonged caregiving. My approach combines talk therapy, somatic practices, mindfulness, and creative or integrative techniques to help clients better understand their experiences, reconnect with their bodies, and move toward greater emotional well-being and purpose. Because much of my role is dedicated to clinical leadership, supervision, and supporting the growth of Cosmic Mother Counseling, I maintain a limited personal caseload. Clients may work with me or be thoughtfully matched with another Cosmic Mother Counseling clinician based on their needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

Outside of my professional roles, I am an artist, musician, lifelong learner, and, above all, a cosmic mother to five amazing children. Whether you are navigating perinatal changes, parenting stress, trauma, illness, emotional disconnection, or a major life transition, you do not have to move through it alone. At Cosmic Mother Counseling, our purpose is to offer a supportive place where healing, reconnection, and meaningful growth can begin.
